About the Project

This platform exists for one reason: to help you make sense of India’s property market through the lens of economic reality. Every chart, every article, every data point you’ll find here is an attempt to connect the big picture—GDP growth, employment shifts, inflation, interest rates—to what’s actually happening with housing prices, rental yields, and investment flows in cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, and beyond.

I’ve always believed that real estate doesn’t move in a vacuum. It’s a mirror of the economy. A spike in manufacturing jobs in Pune can reshape local housing demand faster than any policy paper. A shift in RBI monetary stance can quietly rewrite the math on a buy-versus-rent decision. My work is about tracing those threads and turning them into something you can actually use—whether you’re evaluating a neighbourhood, comparing cities, or simply trying to understand where the market might be headed.

The Economic Club of Michiana is where this journey began. Years ago, as an active participant in the club’s discussions, I saw how conversations about regional business dynamics inevitably circled back to land, property, and the built environment. That experience planted a seed: the recognition that local economic clubs and forums, no matter how small, can surface insights that resonate on a much larger scale. It taught me to listen for the stories behind the numbers, and to always ask how broad economic forces play out in people’s everyday decisions.

Over time, my curiosity pulled me deeper into housing cycles, first in the US and then across Asia. India, in particular, became impossible to ignore. The scale and speed of its urban transformation, the complexity of its land markets, the sheer variety of housing models—it was a puzzle I wanted to spend serious time with. Today, that’s exactly what I do.

On this site, you’ll find:

  • City-level housing price tracking — regular snapshots of how values are shifting in India’s major urban centres, backed by transparent data sources.
  • Rental yield analysis — practical breakdowns of what landlords and tenants are actually experiencing, not just headline averages.
  • Macro-to-micro briefings — how national economic trends (GDP, inflation, employment, credit growth) are likely to influence property markets in specific cities.
  • Investment context — frameworks for thinking about risk, return, and timing, without the hype that often clouds property advice.

Everything here is grounded in data, but I work hard to keep it human. Numbers alone don’t tell you whether a neighbourhood feels like a safe long-term bet or whether a rental premium is sustainable. So I combine quantitative analysis with on-the-ground perspective—drawing on conversations with local agents, developers, and residents, and on my own travels through Indian cities.

This isn’t a news site, and it’s not a brokerage. It’s a resource for anyone who wants to go beyond the headlines and understand the real economic forces shaping Indian real estate. If that sounds useful, I’m glad you’re here.
